Your Vault key (passkey)
Only your passkey opens the Vault: it is stored in your Apple or Google account, and checking today that it is synced is what saves your balance if your phone goes missing.
The key is your responsibility
The Vault is truly yours: only your passkey opens it and moves the balance. The platform keeps no copy of it and cannot recover the Vault or move the money for you — and neither can support. Keeping the key is up to you.
Where the passkey is stored
When you open the Vault, your device creates a passkey and saves it in your account's password manager: iCloud Passwords (Apple), Google Password Manager (Android and Chrome) or another password manager you use. It is listed under the site's address — for example, parlocal.com — with the app's name followed by "· Cofre" (such as "ParLocal · Cofre").
If you already signed in with a passkey before opening the Vault, it uses that same login passkey, which is listed under your account name. With sync turned on, the passkey reaches every device signed in to the same Apple or Google account. If it was saved only on the device, it disappears with it.
Check today, before you need it
- iPhone, iPad or Mac: in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Passwords (on older versions, "iCloud Keychain"), make sure sync is on. Then open the Passwords app and search for the site's address.
- Android or Chrome: open Google Password Manager and search for the site's address. The path varies slightly between versions.
- Check that the "· Cofre" passkey (or your login passkey) is listed. If it is not, turn on sync for your Apple or Google account on this device and check again — while you still have the device.
- If you can, sign in to the same Apple or Google account on a second device and see whether the passkey is listed there too.
- Done? In the Vault, tap confirm on the "Keep your key safe" notice.
Never delete a "· Cofre" passkey
Deleting the Vault passkey from your password manager deletes its only key. Without it, nobody can move the balance — not you, not the platform. When you clean up old passwords, leave every passkey for the site untouched, especially the "· Cofre" ones, and do not delete the Apple or Google account that holds it.
